My Suzuki VX800 Motorcycle 2003
There is one remaining issue
with the VX in 2003. When I bought it, there was a good sized
dent in the left side of the gas tank.
This spring I have found a used tank of a
different color (maroon). I have ordered the matching Suzuki
paint from Color-Rite, stickers from Ron Ayers, and will be
having a body shop do the paint soon!
I
have also added trip computer and small sport windscreen. The
windscreen is a National . It is a small, dark tinted
windscreen.
This
is the riders-eye-view. I have just begun riding with the new
screen, but I am noticing a nice reduction in wind on my body,
and air buffeting on the helmet seems minimal. I am around six
feet tall. The mount is supposed to be universal - there are
mounting holes that the headlight bolts run through, then a
separate metal clamp that tightens onto the headlight bracket.
The trip computer is a TrailTech
Endurance. It has multi function capability such as speed, max
speed average speed, time, elapsed time, service reminders and a
back light. The display is removable, it has a nice cradle that
it clips into. There is a cable down to a magnetic sensor that I
mounted on the front brake.
